SIOUX CENTER, Iowa, USA (April 2, 2026) – Link Mfg., Ltd. was awarded the 2026 Dale Sabers Excellence in Safety Award by Security Insurance Company of North America Ltd for the tenth consecutive year.
Each year, Security Insurance Company of North America awards top-performing companies that achieve significant safety performance. The Dale Sabers Excellence in Safety Award is given to members who participated in the captive and scored 90% or higher in safety excellence through practice and performance.

Safety practice and performance criteria evaluated by Security Insurance Company of North America included: OSHA metrics and workers’ compensation claim results below applicable industry averages, participation in captive group events (i.e., training, webinars, and workshops), and results of a thorough Gap Analysis performed by captive safety consultants. The Gap Analysis included a comprehensive review of Link’s records and programs such as trend analysis tracking of incidents and near-misses, completion of Job Hazard Analysis/Job Safety Analysis (JHAs/JSAs), safety committee establishment and participation, accident/incident reporting, incident investigations and implementation of corrective measures, new employee safety orientation training/criteria, and OSHA compliance training.

Link’s Environmental Health and Safety Department is responsible for implementing effective safety solutions throughout operations per safety audits, research, and coordination. The department utilizes monthly safety audits, reliable and timely implementation of engineering controls, and various training courses to ensure employee safety.
