EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada (March 13, 2018) – Link Mfg., Ltd. and Mack Defense are pleased to announce the completion of the 100th Load Handling System (LHS) Trailer. The trailers are being built as part of the Canadian Army’s MSVS – SMP Program. These trailers are being completed at the Arne’s Welding Ltd. facility in Winnipeg, under sub-contract to Link Suspensions of Canada. Link Suspensions of Canada designed and developed the trailer specifically for Mack Defense and the MSVS program.

The current contract calls for the production of 318 trailers between March, 2018 and March, 2019. As part of the Canadian Army’s long-term plan to completely modernize its fleet of logistics trucks, Link Suspensions of Canada is part of an on-going commitment to provide spare parts for the next 15 years.

“It has been a rewarding experience to be able to achieve this milestone with Link Suspensions and Arne’s and to provide this great capability to our customer as part of our Program," said Alain Gautier, Vice President Canadian Programs at Mack Defense.

Based in Nisku (Edmonton) Alberta, Link Suspensions of Canada, is the branch of Link® that focuses on serving the unique needs of the heavy vocational and military markets. Link’s research and development efforts in Nisku provide distinctive results for applications requiring 60,000lb – 90,000lb suspension capacities. “Link is honored to have been able to provide this world class technology to the Canadian Army and to have met all of Mack’s deadlines in this very complex program, which would not have been possible without the commitment of our sub-contractor Arne’s Welding, who time and again rose to the challenge,” said Chris English Managing Director of Link Suspensions Canada.
